Ted tries to get back together with his ex-partner by promising that he will give up using drugs. However, Emmett doesn't trust him anymore. Despite Lindsay and Brian's pieces of advice he gets really depressed. At one of the sex parties at Mark's Ted realizes how dangerous and risky his new lifestyle can be. Eventually he asks for help at a rehabiltation centre where Blake now works as a counsellor.
Justin's imagination produces a new evil character, i.e. a candidate for the post of mayor of Gayopolis, supported by an unscrupulous publicist. If only Pittsburgh could be saved by a hero too ...
Hunter's biological mother contacts Ben and Michael to take her son back. She has a job and a flat now, but the child doesn't want to go back to the person who – he reveals - used to make him prostitute himself. The young couple promise to protect him. When the woman comes back with the police Michael drives Hunter miles away in Brian's car...
Brian has made a clip that could damage Stockwell's reputation but his opponent, Marvin Deekins, doesn't want to make it public to keep his campaign "clean".
A video is aired on TV. It mentions a possible relation of Jason Kemp's murder to Kennett Rikert as well as the fact that Stockwell may have contributed to the cover-up of the case.
Brian confesses to Justin that he made the TV network air the clip and that he's used all his credit cards funds for it. As a result he'll need to give up his expensive furniture and his TV set. Never mind, he has done all that for something he really believes in.
Melanie is afraid of losing her baby at this stage of her pregnancy. This is what happened to her mother when she was young...
Thanks to the eighth's district votes and to Brian's clip the new mayor is now Marvin Deekins. Liberty Avenue becomes full of people who celebrate this success.
