Michael brings Hunter along to the shop so that he can have a place to stay when he and his partner are not at home. That's when the boy meets Brian for the first time and is immediately fascinated.

Gus's money has suddenly reappeared; Mel anie and Lindsay ask Emmet for some explanation, but he confesses that he doesn't know where Ted is. Just like the money, our accountant is suddenly back and his partner tells him that he knows where he has been and, above all, that he has stole n Gus's funds. So as to cover him, Emmet had to pay the missing amount into the account and consequently had to give up his dream of buying a new professional oven.... Ted promises that he will behave from now on and that he will tell the girls the truth. Mel anie and Lindsey don't trust him anymore as they think he is an addict.

In a picture at the Diner Hunter recognizes the guy whose body has been found in the dumpster : Jason Kemp. He had just started to prostitute himself. The night he was killed he had hooked up with his fatal client, a man the police would never arrest.

Debbie asks Carl to help her incriminate him but he declines. The case seems to have been definitely closed because of some "powerful people's orders". Mrs Novotny decides to go and see Brian, who takes Hunter to the bar where the victim was just before being killed, so that he can recognize "the man".
Then Kinney approaches the murderer and starts a conversation, insinuating that Stockwell is corrupt; surprisingly the man protects the candidate because, he says, they worked together for a long time. To reopen the case, Carl needs damning evidence, such as DNA. Eventually Hunter will succeed in incriminating the murderer...
