To help Ted, Michael gets him an interview with Tracey at the Big Q. Unfortunately, he doesn't obtain the job. Things get worse and worse for him and he abuses alcohol on a daily basis. He also turns up completely drunk at Emmet's party and loses his temper.

Debbie is furious as she thinks Brian has supported and encouraged Stockwell in his homophobic policy; that's why she organizes a public demonstration in front of the police station. Michael is on his friend's side.

At Woody's Debbie presents a charity show where a few guys take off their clothes to raise money for a telephone line preventing suicide. The show is suddenly interrupted by the police shutting down the club for immoral and indecent behavior. Stockwell fires Brian after he has been seen by one of his agents at Woody's; he thinks that the guy's sexual orientation may have a bad influence on his campaign. With her interview forecast on TV, Debbie succeeds in casting a shadow over Stockwell's public image. Carl is very angry with her because of the embarrassing position she has set him in.

Melanie fails to keep her promise to slow down and concentrate on her pregnancy and family; she works hard on Arlen case instead. It's about defending a lesbian mother and helping her obtain the custody of her children, who live with an unemployed father addicted to alcohol.

Justin admits to Mikey that he was right about Brian's honest and true feelings for him, although he will never say those three words.

Stockwell takes Brian back: a gay man leading his campaign will help him prove he is not homophobic.
