Ethan performs at the Heifetz prize competition. He is anxious, but Justin is there to support him and inspire him. Despite the violinist's failure, the audience seems enthralled by his charm and talent and an agent offers him to represent him. However, if he accepts, he will have to pretend to be straight. Initially, he wants to refuse but Brian unexpectedly makes him change his mind, encouraging him to follow his dreams and career, rather than keeping performing in the streets. "There's nothing noble about being poor". Justin gets angry with his ex.
Debbie and Vic are trying to collect as many votes as possible to elect the mayor, but the community do not seem too much interested.
Brian and Vangard, on the other hand, give their support to Stockwell in order to establish relationships with new potential clients. Brian suggests him that he contacts his agency for a proper campaign and take some posters to the Diner; this upsets everybody, considering Stockwell's homophobic ideology.
Ben becomes more and more quick-tempered as well as concentrated on his body. Although he carries on keeping Mikey in the dark about steroids, he eventually finds him out...
Ted and Emmett are looking to buy their new house; their opposite personalities and tastes cause them some problems. Luckily, Jennifer offers their help and Ted surprisingly decides to go for his other half's choice.
